Responsibilities:

What you will do:
Under the direct supervision of Epic leadership, the Epic Interoperability Analyst I will be accountable for:

- Providing IT support for 1 to 2 Epic modules and related applications.

- Dedicating 70% of time to daily operational support and quarterly system updates.

- Allocating 10% of time to projects, which include supporting system enhancements, new features, enhanced workflow design, and optimization.

- Collaborating with external Health Information Exchanges to establish and maintain connections for patient information sharing.

- Developing and implementing data mapping strategies to ensure accurate translation of healthcare data across various systems.

- Staying current with industry standards and best practices in healthcare interoperability.


- Working closely with IT teams to troubleshoot and resolve interoperability issues, ensuring smooth data flow between systems.

- Participating in additional projects as assigned by the supervisor.

- Collaborating effectively and efficiently as part of a team on assignments, while also being able to work independently on certain tasks.

- Coordinating with customers, vendors, and other IT professionals to address challenges and allocate resources to achieve quality outcomes.

- Escalating problems and concerns to supervisors.

- Developing how-to documentation and workflows for end-users and fellow team members.

- Providing on-call support.

- Expected to pursue Epic certification in assigned modules within six months of hire.

Qualifications:

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:
- Ability to support end-users and technical operations staff by providing excellent customer service.

- Skill in organizing, collecting, and analyzing complex data.

- Knowledge of healthcare processes and application system coordination, with the ability to work closely with operational counterparts for successful project delivery.

- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills for process development and resolution of ongoing campaigns and population health initiatives.

- Ability to process information logically and suggest enhancements to Epic leaders and business counterparts.

- Ability to effectively escalate concerns or problems to leadership.

- Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with all levels of the organization.

Education, Certification & Experience:


- Bachelor's Degree from a four-year college or university; or four years of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

- At least 2 years of related technical experience is required, with 4 or more years preferred, including implementation, support, or hands-on end-user experience with Epic IT support and ownership of 2 to 3 Epic modules. Experience and certification in Healthy Planet and Cheers Campaigns modules are required.

- Experience with process improvements in a healthcare setting is required.

PHYSICAL AND MENTAL DEMANDS:
Activities involve primarily sitting for prolonged periods, with extensive work using a computer keyboard and monitor. Ability to process information and communicate data clearly and succinctly.
