Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the check-in and check-out processes for drivers and prepare orders
  • Support warehouse staff in receiving shipments and managing product distribution to vending routes
  • Oversee daily meter readings and inventory management at both machine and truck levels
  • Train route drivers on the use of handheld devices, minor machine repairs, and adherence to security protocols regarding cash and inventory
  • Step in to perform route driver duties as necessary
  • Conduct ride-alongs with drivers to ensure compliance with company standards and policies
  • Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, adherence to truck plans, safety, and mechanical condition
  • Evaluate vending machines for compliance with product placement, inventory levels, cleanliness, and freshness
  • Assist in the creation or adjustment of route schedules
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance business processes and operational efficiencies
  • Promote a safety-conscious work environment to minimize work-related incidents and injuries
  • Fulfill leadership duties in line with organizational policies and legal requirements
  • Responsibilities include interviewing, coaching, and training staff; planning, assigning, and overseeing work; evaluating skills; recognizing or recommending disciplinary actions; addressing concerns and resolving issues; and escalating matters to the Vending or Branch Manager as needed

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant route experience
  • Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for talent development
  • Ability to demonstrate urgency, problem-solving capabilities, and a commitment to customer service
  • Proficiency in inventory management software, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
  • Mechanical aptitude and capability to operate manual and industrial equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts
  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. and work in outdoor conditions
