Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the check-in and check-out processes for drivers and prepare orders
- Support warehouse staff in receiving shipments and managing product distribution to vending routes
- Oversee daily meter readings and inventory management at both machine and truck levels
- Train route drivers on the use of handheld devices, minor machine repairs, and adherence to security protocols regarding cash and inventory
- Step in to perform route driver duties as necessary
- Conduct ride-alongs with drivers to ensure compliance with company standards and policies
- Inspect vehicles for cleanliness, adherence to truck plans, safety, and mechanical condition
- Evaluate vending machines for compliance with product placement, inventory levels, cleanliness, and freshness
- Assist in the creation or adjustment of route schedules
- Collaborate with other departments to enhance business processes and operational efficiencies
- Promote a safety-conscious work environment to minimize work-related incidents and injuries
- Fulfill leadership duties in line with organizational policies and legal requirements
- Responsibilities include interviewing, coaching, and training staff; planning, assigning, and overseeing work; evaluating skills; recognizing or recommending disciplinary actions; addressing concerns and resolving issues; and escalating matters to the Vending or Branch Manager as needed
Required Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant route experience
- Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with a passion for talent development
- Ability to demonstrate urgency, problem-solving capabilities, and a commitment to customer service
- Proficiency in inventory management software, Microsoft Outlook, Excel, and Word
- Mechanical aptitude and capability to operate manual and industrial equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. and work in outdoor conditions
