Job Summary

The Nuclear Medicine Technologist performs examinations according to established protocols set forth by the medical director and section chief. This requires a strong understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology. The technologist must maintain a high degree of accuracy and awareness of radiation safety principles and quality control measures on equipment and procedures.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer radiopharmaceuticals and other medications in accordance with state and federal regulations.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, adhering to safety protocols and regulatory requirements.

Qualifications

• Graduate of JRC-approved program in Nuclear Medicine technology.

• Prefer one year of recent experience as a NMT and one year of recent experience in PET or PET/CT.

• Hold a state operator's license for PET/CT and be NMTCB registered or ARRT registered with NMT certification.
