We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our team in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) at Kaiser Permanente in Fontana, California. As a Specialty Unit Staff RN, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, leading the healthcare team, and collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Key Responsibilities- Leadership: You will serve as a leader of the healthcare team, delegating tasks appropriately and demonstrating accountability. You will also participate in problem identification and resolution, and mentor, orient, and coach others in unit-specific operations and patient care activities.
- Nursing Process: You will develop and/or contribute to the individualized plan of care that reflects assessment, planning, implementing, and evaluating the outcomes of that plan. You will also ensure that care meets standards of practice and that patients receive optimal pain control and patient comfort.
- Documentation: You will chart accurately, legibly, dated, and timed, and utilize computer systems effectively and efficiently for optimal patient care.
- Clinical Outcomes: You will discuss patient findings and progress toward outcomes with physicians and other members of the healthcare team, and participate in departmental performance improvement activities.
- 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) full-time equivalent experience in Level III NICU or successful completion of KP Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) course or approved equivalent within prior 12 months.
- Registered Nurse License (California)
- Basic Life Support from American Heart Association
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program
