Position Overview:
The Produce Sales Associate plays a vital role in ensuring that our produce department is inviting and well-stocked to meet customer needs. This position involves a variety of responsibilities, including:
Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain an attractive and fully stocked produce section to satisfy customer demands.
2. Provide excellent customer service by greeting shoppers, answering inquiries, and fulfilling special requests, such as custom fruit baskets.
3. Handle the unpacking and organization of produce shipments, ensuring all items are fresh and visually appealing.
4. Rotate stock effectively to guarantee product freshness and accuracy in pricing and signage.
5. Assist in the upkeep of the salad bar and prepared fruit/vegetable items as required.
6. Collaborate with team members to create appealing product displays.
7. Complete necessary product logs accurately and manage spoiled or damaged items according to company policies.
8. Uphold cleanliness and sanitation standards in the department, adhering to health and safety regulations.
9. Support the reduction of shrinkage and report any discrepancies to management.
10. Participate in receiving and organizing deliveries, if trained to operate necessary equipment.
Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- A completed or in-progress High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). No prior experience is necessary.
