The position also requires maintaining standards for DoD certification and national accreditation or equivalent.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily activities for children and youth.
  • Plan and conduct activities based on observed needs.
  • Instruct team members in specific tasks and job techniques.
  • Ensure compliance with DoD certification and national accreditation standards.

Required Qualifications

  1. Possess a high school diploma or GED certificate.
  2. Communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing.
  3. Meet one of the following qualifications:
  4. Possess a Child Development Associate (CDA) Credential, Military School Age Credential, Army Youth Practicum, or other nationally recognized Youth Development Credential.
  5. Have two years of specialized experience working in a group program with children or youth plus an associate's degree or 60 semester hours with a major course of study related to the age group.
  6. Hold a bachelor's Degree or 120 semester hours with a major course of study related to the age group.
  7. Possess 24 months of experience working in a group childcare or youth program with completion of DoD approved competency training courses.
