Responsabilidades Clave:
  • Evaluaciones de Salud y Comportamiento: Realiza exámenes de ingreso, monitorea cambios en la salud y el comportamiento, y reporta hallazgos a nuestros equipos veterinarios y de comportamiento.
  • Colaboración en Equipo: Trabaja estrechamente con diferentes departamentos para mover animales dentro del refugio y mejorar su bienestar.
  • Evaluaciones de Comportamiento: Evalúa los temperamentos de los animales y lleva a cabo evaluaciones formales de comportamiento para perros.
  • Equipos y Suministros: Mantén y reabastece equipos y suministros, asegurando que todo esté en óptimas condiciones.
  • Cuidado Compasivo: Actúa como líder en procedimientos de eutanasia, llevando a cabo estos procedimientos de manera humanitaria y cuidando de los animales fallecidos.
Herramientas Necesarias:
  • Desde computadoras y equipos médicos hasta herramientas para el manejo de animales, utilizarás una variedad de instrumentos para realizar tus funciones.
  • Se proporcionará equipo de protección personal (EPP) para garantizar tu seguridad al manejar animales y productos químicos.
Demandas Físicas:
  • Prepárate para levantar y mover animales y suministros, a veces hasta 40 libras.
  • Espera estar de pie durante períodos prolongados y, ocasionalmente, escalar, agacharte, arrodillarte o gatear.
  • Maneja animales de varios tamaños y temperamentos, con posible exposición a alérgenos y enfermedades zoonóticas.
Requisitos:
  • Diploma de secundaria o equivalente.
  • Experiencia en un refugio de animales, guardería, zoológico o clínica veterinaria preferida.
  • Certificación de Eutanasia por Inyección (EBI) requerida al momento de la contratación o capacidad para obtenerla dentro de un año.
  • Fuertes habilidades de comunicación y habilidades matemáticas básicas.
  • Conocimiento de cuidado veterinario/salud animal es un plus.
