Position Summary

We are looking for Process Operators (levels I, II, & III) to enhance our operations team. Reporting to the Senior Plant Manager or Pilot Plant Manager, these roles will be integral to our Innovation Center and Air Factory.

Key Responsibilities

Operation and Maintenance:

  • Safely initiate, operate, monitor, and shut down process equipment, including fixed bed flow reactors and auxiliary systems across various scales.
  • Manage tertiary electrolyzer and compressor systems for hydrogen production.
  • Adjust and operate pumps, valves, controls, and other system components.
  • Utilize Honeywell Experion software to monitor, record, and analyze process parameters.
  • Respond to immediate business needs by executing rapid setups for research test systems.
  • Conduct regular preventative maintenance tasks, including filter changes and sensor calibrations.

Safety and Quality Assurance:

  • Adhere to and contribute to safe work practices and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Support the achievement of quality standards and maintain production uptime above 90%.

Data Management and Troubleshooting:

  • Collect data exports and perform necessary calculations.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate logs of operational activities.
  • Collaborate with management to troubleshoot and perform light repairs on process equipment.
  • Assist in system upgrades and enhancements.
  • Support the scaling of AIR COMPANY's reactor technology.
  • Coordinate the safe handling of hazardous chemicals.

Shift Flexibility:

  • Willingness to work 12-hour shifts to support continuous operations.
  • Effectively manage shift transitions, providing comprehensive updates to incoming teams.

Work Environment:

  • Ability to operate in potentially loud and physically demanding environments.
  • Physical capability to lift 50 pounds, stand, walk, climb, bend, and perform other physical tasks.
  • Compliance with personal protective equipment requirements.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or relevant industry training/experience.
  • Veterans and candidates with technology certificates or degrees are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with chemical reaction systems or pressure equipment.
  • Background in operating and maintaining engineering equipment in chemical or petrochemical settings.
  • Experience with 12-hour shift rotations in a 24/7 operational environment.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols for hazardous materials.
  • Proactive and independent work ethic with a willingness to learn.
  • Proficient in computer skills and ability to learn specialized software.
  • Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to a safe and collaborative work culture.
  • Interest in sustainability and technological innovation.
  • Ability to complete required certifications within six months of employment.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in research and development or process improvement.
  • Knowledge of gas-to-liquids operations.

Compensation: $34.00/hr, with eligibility for overtime.

Work Schedule: Full-time, with flexibility for various shifts as needed.
