Key Responsibilities
  • Production Oversight: Supervise and lead the machine shop floor, following a work schedule, and maintain safety standards.
  • Team Management: Motivate, mentor, and provide technical direction to team members, responding to individual needs and concerns.
  • Quality and Productivity: Balance quality, productivity, safety, and morale to achieve positive results in all areas, working to continuously improve in all areas.
  • Safety and Compliance: Maintain and enforce safety standards across the shop floor, ensuring a safe working environment for all employees.
  • Communication and Organization: Exercise good judgment, demonstrate excellent communication skills, and prioritize floor needs to maintain a positive work atmosphere.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: High school or equivalent education, with a minimum of 5 years of machining experience, preferably with 2 years in supervision.
  • Skills and Abilities: Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work independently, and proficiency in MS Office Suite.
Work Environment

This position operates as a heavy presence on the manufacturing floor, requiring the ability to stand, walk, use hands, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl, and talk or hear. The employee must lift up to 50 lbs occasionally.
