Commercial Property and Casualty Underwriter

Cincinnati Insurance Company, Inc. is seeking an experienced Commercial Property and Casualty Underwriter for its Excess & Surplus Lines team.

We are looking for a skilled professional to work in partnership with producers and underwriting assistants to solicit, underwrite, and price new and renewal surplus lines commercial property and casualty business. The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills, organizational and time management skills, decision-making abilities, and a desire to build relationships.

• Determine individual risk acceptability, pricing, coverage, terms, and conditions.
• Analyze and evaluate information and exposures for complex risks.
• Achieve production and loss ratio goals within assigned regional territory.
• Mentor and train underwriters and underwriting assistants.
• Develop successful business relationships with producers and reinsurers.
• Research new products and coverage forms.

• 5+ years of experience working with commercial lines property and casualty products.
• Prior excess and surplus casualty underwriting experience with a carrier, broker, or MGA is preferred.
• ASLI or CPCU designations are desirable.
• Candidates with a carrier background will be given preference.

We offer a competitive salary range of $75,000 - $161,000 annually, based on education, experience, location, knowledge, skills, and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.
