Job Summary:

The Toledo Clinic is seeking a skilled Phlebotomy Specialist to join our team. As a Phlebotomy Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting blood samples from patients in a safe and efficient manner.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collect blood samples from patients using venipuncture and capillary puncture techniques.
  • Travel between Toledo Clinic Laboratories as needed to collect samples.
  • Work under the supervision of the Phlebotomy Supervisor to ensure high-quality sample collection.
  • Register patients and scan ABN, Billing, and HIPAA documentation.
  • Adhere to HIPAA policies and laboratory, clinic, and OSHA safety standards.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment.
  • Drive to satellite locations and be available for drawing opportunities.
  • Process specimens, including centrifugation and STAT specimen processing.

Requirements:

  • One to two years of phlebotomist experience.
  • Consistently arrive at work on time and complete tasks within established time frames.
  • Seek out additional tasks and assist coworkers as needed.
  • Demonstrate adaptability to expanded roles and a willingness to learn.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks.
  • Adhere to clinic policies and procedures.

Education:

  • Phlebotomy diploma from an accredited school required.
  • Certification preferred.
