SUMMARY

The primary responsibility of the Customer Service Specialist is to provide an exceptional shopping experience by fostering creativity among our customers and ensuring they feel welcomed and valued. All team members contribute to sales growth through extensive product knowledge, innovative merchandising, and precise transaction handling.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Customer Engagement

Welcomes every customer and utilizes the F.A.S.T. service model to fulfill their needs. Engages customers with open-ended questions to understand their project requirements and guides them to the appropriate product locations. Maintains friendly interactions with customers while assisting them at various service points.

Transaction Processing

Handles customer transactions at the service counter and checkout areas efficiently and courteously. Responsible for lifting and organizing stock from delivery areas to sales displays. Ensures accurate stocking according to visual merchandising standards while maintaining a high level of productivity and attention to detail.

Sales Promotion

Encourages customer participation in store events and activities. Actively drives sales through product expertise, suggestive selling techniques, and by building strong relationships with customers. Works diligently to minimize inventory loss by adhering to company policies and procedures.

Team Collaboration

Assists fellow team members to exceed expectations set by management. Collaborates with management and peers on various projects in a supportive and professional manner. Aids in training new team members on customer service practices and operational tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education: High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Experience: No prior experience necessary; however, 1-3 years in a customer-focused environment is preferred.

Availability: Part-time positions require flexible scheduling to meet store needs, with an average of less than 28 hours per week. Open availability is preferred.

SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

Ability to work collaboratively with customers and team members.

Ability to maintain a safe and organized work environment.

Effective communication skills in a team setting.

Ability to adapt to varying schedules based on business requirements.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to stand for extended periods and move throughout the store during shifts. Ability to lift and carry items up to 49 pounds and participate in group lifts as necessary.

This position emphasizes teamwork and customer satisfaction, contributing to a positive shopping environment.
