Job Title: Electronic Engineering Technician

We are seeking a skilled and diligent Electronic Engineering Technician to join our team at Emerson. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for conducting non-repetitive engineering tests, evaluating electronic components, and solving complex systems.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct non-repetitive engineering evaluation tests of electro/mechanical products.
  • Evaluate electronic components related to the production process or the quality of final product parts and determine where there is a need for changes to the process.
  • Decipher sophisticated plans, drawings, diagrams, blueprints, and instruction in order to complete installation or practice troubleshooting of electronic systems, parts, or wiring networks.
  • Record information and results about product or electronic performance by detailing testing methods, documenting possible issues, and listing part specifications.
  • Diagnose and repair problems with malfunctioning circuitry networks, ineffective electronic pieces, and missing or inoperative parts.
  • Maintain all equipment and components by performing scheduled maintenance tasks, ensuring calibration of equipment, and scheduling replacement when needed.
Requirements:
  • Associates degree or some college coursework in electronics or engineering.
  • Previous lab experience or manufacturing experience in electronics can be substituted.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States - sponsorship will not be provided for this position.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior working knowledge of electric actuators.
  • Knowledge and abilities to use an oscilloscope, multi-meter, data logger, solder station.
  • Strong manual dexterity.
