Job Summary

As an LPN Ambulatory, you will play a vital role in providing direct care to assigned patients. Your responsibilities will include administering and monitoring treatments in accordance with current treatment plans or as directed by your supervisor. You will work in a fast-paced environment, performing tasks that reflect substantial variety and moderate complexity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with patient care by executing and administering treatments and procedures directed by your supervisor.
  • Report to your supervisor and other staff any patient issues and concerns.
  • Maintain accurate patient records, including charts, schedules, procedures, medication/treatment history, etc.
  • Educate patients and family members in accordance with established plans of care.
  • Function in an expanded role of IV therapy in accordance with regulatory standards, if required by the clinical area.
  • Serve on at least one nursing council, hospital, or medical center committee, task force, or project team to improve patient care or work area, demonstrating core standards of exceptional customer service.
Requirements
  • LPN certified in IV therapy, if required by the clinical area.
  • Valid LPN license.
  • LPN certified in IV therapy, if required by clinical area.
  • PALS within 90 days of hire.
Working Conditions

This role requires occasional exposure to unpleasant or disagreeable physical environments, such as high noise levels and exposure to heat and cold. You will also handle or work with potentially dangerous equipment and be exposed to bio-hazardous conditions, including risk of radiation exposure, blood-borne pathogens, fumes, or airborne particles, and/or toxic or caustic chemicals, which mandate attention to safety considerations.
