SXEW Operator

Florence Copper is seeking a highly skilled Process Operator to join our team in Florence, Arizona. As a Process Operator, you will play a critical role in the safe and efficient operation of our copper recovery process.

• Monitor and operate processing equipment to ensure quality, efficiency, and safety of the processing plant.
• Perform inspections of process plant and well fields for hazards, damage, defects, and take corrective action.
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and perform repairs to process operating equipment.
• Perform quality testing and inspections.
• Accurately enter production data into computer databases.
• Identify and report equipment for maintenance based on troubleshooting or maintenance schedules.
• Sampling and lab testing of process solutions and cathodes.
• Complete work orders and log work as required.
• Responsible for carrying out and documenting pre-operational checks.
• Work independently or as part of a team to complete tasks and projects.
• Assist other staff members or operations employees as required.

• Prior experience in a process, manufacturing, or metal environment.
• Ability to operate mobile equipment, such as forklifts, light trucks, and bobcats.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal communications.
• Ability to read and comprehend operating and technical documents.
• Ability to work conscientiously with attention to detail.
• Good interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Willingness to perform physically demanding tasks, such as lifting heavy objects, climbing stairs/ladders, and crawling.

This position will consist of work performed in all-weather conditions, both outdoors and in a plant setting. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, demonstrate manual dexterity, climb stairs, and lift up to 50 pounds. Personal protective equipment is required when performing work in the plant environment. This will be a 24/7/365 operation, and the successful candidate for this position will be required to work rotating shifts.
