Job Overview

Sol Engineering Services, LLC is seeking a dedicated and experienced Wastewater Sampling Technician to join our team. This role involves collecting and analyzing wastewater samples at designated sites, installing and maintaining sampling equipment, and working as part of a team to monitor and assess wastewater treatment processes.

Responsibilities
  • Ensure compliance with industry and company safety standards.
  • Perform sampling at 3 to 5 designated sites in the East Central, West Central, and/or Southeastern public health districts, with a focus on on-call work and variable workload.
  • Coordinate with the team to receive shipments of autosamplers, perform initial site visits, and participate in coordination and planning meetings as necessary.
  • Collect 24-hour composite samples using provided autosamplers and associated equipment, and drop off samples at FedEx for shipping.
  • Field reporting and data entry are required, as well as the ability to ride in a vehicle for extended periods.
Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid driver's license is necessary.
  • The ability to pass a physical examination and background checks is required.
  • Previous experience with wastewater sampling or environmental monitoring is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills are essential.
Location and Job Site

The work will be based in Central Alabama, with the possibility of working from an office in Birmingham, AL or Montgomery, AL. The job site will be various wastewater treatment facilities in the central Alabama area and possibly southeastern area.
