The Senior Plumbing Technician is tasked with the installation, repair, and maintenance of piping systems, fixtures, and other plumbing components essential for water distribution and wastewater management within the facility.

This role collaborates with various trades and laborers to ensure compliance with all specifications, regulations, and policies, facilitating the efficient completion of projects.

Delivering high-quality services guarantees that all water supply networks, waste systems, and drainage systems are installed, repaired, and maintained to adhere to building codes and safety standards.



Responsibilities:
Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems and components – 70%

Diagnose issues and failures in water systems to determine necessary repairs or replacements.
Install, maintain, and repair domestic water pumps, piping lines, filters, and plumbing fixtures.
Repair and maintain steam stations, valves, heating systems, and drainage systems.
Test fire system valves, tamper switches, fire pumps, and dry deluge systems.
Oversee the piping and supply of medical gas systems.
Prepare preventative maintenance schedules and generate monthly reports.
Develop procedures and conduct preventative maintenance and inspections of backflow devices and cross-connection control.
Respond to emergency situations during or after hours to address immediate safety concerns.
Identify and propose long-term needs and strategies for plumbing systems, leading to cost efficiencies.
Adhere to Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as necessary.

Communicate with personnel regarding procedures and work order statuses to facilitate informed decision-making and compliance with building and safety regulations.

Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment to ensure they are in safe operating condition.
May coordinate, maintain, and repair energy management systems.
May require travel to various sites to fulfill job responsibilities.
May also be tasked with coordinating, inspecting, repairing, and maintaining additional systems as assigned.

Special Projects – 30%

Participate in meetings, workshops, training, and seminars as assigned to share and gather necessary information for job functions.
Assist, participate in, and/or lead special projects as needed.
Provide additional support and training to facility stakeholders, including junior plumbing staff.
Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Requirements:

Must possess one or more of the following:
Graduation from a trade school.
Relevant license with three years of experience.
Five years of relevant experience in lieu of a license.
Other equivalent combinations of relevant education or experience.
