Respiratory Therapist

As a Respiratory Therapist at South Central Health System, you will play a critical role in providing life-supporting care to patients with cardiopulmonary system deficiencies and abnormalities. Under general supervision, you will administer respiratory care and life support, train and mentor respiratory department technicians, and promote a culture of safety for patients and employees.
Key Responsibilities- Evaluate patients and render appropriate care utilizing departmental policies and procedures.
- Adjust therapy in response to patient needs and physician direction.
- Monitor patients during procedures and respond to emergencies.
- Prepare documentation that provides complete and accurate information for quality patient care.
- Provide effective communication with physicians and patients.
- Graduate of an accredited respiratory therapy training program.
- Licensed Registered Respiratory Therapist by the Mississippi State Board of Health.
- ACLS and BLS certification.
- Provides a positive and professional representation of the organization.
- Promotes a culture of safety for patients and employees.
- Maintains hospital standards for a clean and quiet patient environment.
- Maintains competency and knowledge of current standards of practice.
