Job Summary


We are seeking a highly skilled Physical Therapist to join our inpatient care team at Kaiser Permanente. As a Physical Therapist, you will play a vital role in the management of patients with physical therapy needs.



Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate and interpret patient examination findings to determine the nature and extent of dysfunction and develop an effective treatment plan.
  • Administer or prescribe modalities and other physical agents to achieve optimal patient outcomes.
  • Develop and implement exercise programs tailored to individual patient needs.
  • Demonstrate professional competence and clinical reasoning in assessing patients' conditions throughout all phases of skilled physical therapy.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and participate in discharge planning as appropriate.
  • Uphold Kaiser Permanente's policies and procedures while adhering to state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of physical therapy services provided.
  • Adequately supervise PT assistants and aides when delegating patient-related tasks.
  • Demonstrate exceptional customer service skills and maintain a positive attitude towards internal and external customers.


Requirements:

  • Bachelor's, Master's, or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited program.
  • Current Physical Therapist License in California (or eligibility for licensure) required at hire.
  • National Provider Identifier required at hire.
  • Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association required at hire.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Member of the American Physical Therapy Association (APTA).


Estimated Salary Range:

$65,000 - $90,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
