Job Summary

The Medical Support Specialist is a vital member of our healthcare team, responsible for ensuring seamless patient throughput while assisting our medical professionals in delivering exceptional patient care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Document patient information accurately and efficiently into our electronic medical records system.
  • Measure and record vital signs, including temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
  • Conduct rapid lab tests and accurately record results in the EMR.
  • Administer injections and perform EKGs as needed.
  • Apply orthopedic splints and assist with simple medical procedures.
  • Perform phlebotomy and prepare specimens for lab analysis.
  • Adhere to established policies and procedures, ensuring a safe and efficient work environment.
  • Attend staff meetings and complete assigned tasks, including supply inventory and checklists.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program and externship is required.
  • Certification or registration (CMA or RMA) is preferred.
  • Minimum one year of clinical experience in a physician's office or hospital is preferred.
  • CPR certification is required.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential.
  • Ability to work 12+ hour shifts and sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, as needed.
  • Reliable transportation and ability to work in multiple locations are required.
