As a Financial Crime Analyst, you will play a crucial role in conducting in-depth financial assessments and probing potential incidents of illicit financial activities such as money laundering, terrorist financing, insider trading, securities fraud, market manipulation, and other forms of fraud.
About the Team
The Financial Crime Investigation team operates within the Financial Intelligence Unit (FIU) and collaborates closely with Legal, Regulatory, and Compliance (LRC) teams. The LRC is dedicated to safeguarding Fidelity's operations, clients, and reputation by delivering timely and effective analytical and investigative services, striking a balance between risk management and customer satisfaction.
The Financial Crime Investigation unit specializes in scrutinizing suspicious activities and, when warranted, submitting Suspicious Activity Reports (SARs) to the Financial Crimes Enforcement Network (FinCEN), a division of the U.S. Treasury that aims to protect the financial system through the collection and analysis of financial intelligence. This unit maintains essential partnerships with Fidelity's Financial Crimes Compliance Program Office (FCPO) and various regulatory and law enforcement agencies.
Qualifications You Bring
- A college degree and/or 8 to 10 years of relevant professional experience.
- Over 2 years of experience in the financial services sector.
- Prior experience in Risk Management, Compliance, or Anti-Money Laundering is advantageous.
- Comprehensive understanding of brokerage operations.
- FINRA Series 7 certification is preferred.
- Familiarity with Fidelity systems is a plus.

- Exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to collaborate effectively within a small team while engaging with senior executives.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of AML laws and regulations.
- Ability to operate with minimal supervision, exercising significant decision-making authority.

- Ensuring compliance with regulatory obligations related to AML.
- Supporting the Anti-Money Laundering Officer (AMLO) in maintaining a robust AML program.
