About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Respiratory Care Practitioner to join our team at St. Joseph Hospital Eureka. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to our mission of delivering exceptional healthcare services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Employ intellectual, interpersonal, and technical skills to assist patients of various ages in achieving maximum health potential.
  • Function as a health team member through independent, interdependent, and dependent roles within the healthcare system.
  • Assume responsibility and accountability for the care of patients of various ages as defined by the department scope of service.
  • Perform diagnostic and therapeutic cardiopulmonary procedures and related activities according to department standards.
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, their families, the public, and the medical staff.
Requirements
  • Graduate of a program in respiratory therapy approved by the Committee on Allied Health Education & Accreditation of the American Medical Association.
  • California Respiratory Care Practitioner License upon hire.
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire.
  • Within 90 days of hire: National Provider ACLS - American Heart Association.
  • Within 90 days of hire: National Provider PALS - American Heart Association.
  • 2 years of Full-time hospital-based acute care Respiratory Care Practitioner experience that includes Critical Care, Emergency Department, Medical Surgical, Telemetry, Childbirth Center, Nursery, Neonatal ICU, and PACU.
