Job Summary
ASM Global, a leading provider of public assembly and entertainment facilities, is seeking a skilled Barista to join the team at one of our vibrant cafes. As a Barista, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, preparing and serving high-quality beverages, and maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide top-notch customer service, ensuring every guest has a positive experience
- Prepare and serve a variety of coffee and other beverages to customers
- Accurately process cash register transactions and maintain a clean and organized workspace
- Monitor product pricing, signage, and placement, and use product shelf tags correctly
- Be knowledgeable of all equipment and functions required to make a successful product
- Provide quality beverages and food products consistently for all customers
- Keep food and beverage shelves stocked
- Keep the cafe clean by wiping down tables, shelves, counters, glass, and any other surface that needs cleaning
- Represent ASM Global as a customer service agent by providing quality, skilled guest service
- Assist with new employee training and provide respectful and encouraging feedback
- Notify supervisors or managers regarding guest complaints and concerns
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Sufficient math ability to accurately add, subtract, divide, multiply, and perform other basic business math calculations
- Ability to speak, read, and understand English well enough to converse with customers, supervisors, and employees
- Ability to understand written and oral direction and communicate effectively with others
- Good organizational skills and ability to follow directions
- Pleasant personality and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work various shifts and hours, including holidays and weekends
- Attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
- Ability to operate POS systems as assigned
- Current ServeSafe certification
- RBS training through Alcohol Beverage Control
- Negative TB test
Physical Demands
- Ability to lift 25 lbs
- Regularly required to move around the facility, stand for long hours during work, talk, and hear
- May require work inside or outside of the building, as needed
