Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Occupational Health Nurse to join our team at WorkCare. As an onsite professional, you will provide medical care and support to our employees, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.

Responsibilities
  • Provide on-site medical treatment and management of injuries, minimizing the need for off-site medical care.
  • Offer first aid and follow-up care to occupationally injured or ill workers.
  • Manage open workers' compensation and short-term disability cases as needed.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and provide reports to management as required.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and maintain relevant records.
  • Perform medical testing, including TB tests, blood draws, immunizations, drug screening, vision tests, hearing tests, respirator fit tests, and medical evaluations.
  • Deliver First Aid, CPR, AED, and other training as necessary.
  • Maintain clinic supplies for treatment and preventative measures in the workplace.
  • Provide preventative health education to employees.
Qualifications
  • Education and Experience
    • Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a valid RN or LPN license in the state of Idaho.
    • Bachelor of Science in Nursing is highly preferred.
    • Must hold current BLS certification.
    • 3-5 years of experience required.
    • 2-3 years' experience in an urgent care, emergency department, or occupational health setting preferred.
    • Certification in Occupational Health is preferred.

    • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
    • Strong critical thinking skills, problem-solving, and decision-making.
    • Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports.
    • Effective time management, organizational, and follow-through skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Computer Skills
    • Proficiency in the Windows operating system environment, Adobe Professional, Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
  • Physical Demands
    • Requires sitting for long periods, working at a desk.
    • Some bending and stretching may be required.
    • Working under stress and using a computer/phone is required.
    • Manual dexterity is required for using a computer keyboard.
    • Occasional standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, and/or crouching may be required.
    • May occasionally lift and/or move up to 15 pounds.
  • Work Environment
    • Mainly indoor, office environment conditions.
    • The noise level is usually moderate.
    • Air quality is good, and temperature is controlled.

Final compensation will be determined by factors such as job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and qualifications.
