Job Summary: Robotics Software Systems Engineer for Space Exploration
Estimated Salary: $160,000 - $240,000 per year
We are seeking an experienced Robotics Software Systems Engineer to join our team working on the NASA VIPER Lunar Rover mission. As a key member of the Intelligent Robotics Group at the NASA Ames Research Center, you will contribute to the development of software systems for robot missions on Earth and in space.
Responsibilities:
- Design and implement software systems using C/C++ and GNU tools under Linux
- Collaborate with the team to develop robot navigation, 3D user interfaces, and system software
- Work closely with engineers to ensure seamless integration of distributed and asynchronous systems
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field
- 3+ years of experience in Linux-based C++ and/or Java software development
- Strong background in robotics and/or distributed systems
