This role will act as the primary liaison for all security-related matters, supporting the program management team and operational staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, coordinate, and assess security initiatives that align with the established strategies, policies, and standards aimed at safeguarding all personnel and assets.
  • Gather and evaluate data from audits, inspections, daily logs, and incident reports to identify security weaknesses, assess program efficiency, and determine resource needs.
  • Assist in managing security containers, including changing electronic locks, receiving, tracking, and storing classified information, and maintaining security inventories.
  • Support the management of restricted access areas, providing expertise in the handling and protection of classified foreign government information.
  • Facilitate operations of secure communication environments, ensuring compliance with communication security protocols for classified electronic messages.
  • Assist users with the management of classified documents, ensuring proper handling, marking, and destruction as required.
  • Support the processing of mail, including classified materials, ensuring accurate distribution.
  • Manage the classification and destruction of controlled unclassified information, including organizing shredding events.
  • Provide guidance on mandatory travel requirements and post-travel reporting for personnel.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of security classification guides and industrial security requirements.
  • Assist in drafting and interpreting contract security specifications in accordance with national security regulations.
  • Stay informed on industrial security guidelines and policies from relevant authorities.

Qualifications:

Skills and Experience: The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual and familiarity with physical security programs.

Education: A bachelor’s degree in a relevant technical or managerial field is required, along with a minimum of three years of experience in a related security role.

Clearance: Candidates must be U.S. citizens capable of obtaining a government-issued security clearance.

Physical Requirements: Candidates should be able to perform repetitive tasks, engage in audible communications during emergencies, and sit for extended periods while working on a computer.
