We are seeking a highly skilled Registered Nurse to join our Post Surgical team at Williamson Health, one of the South's most exceptional healthcare systems. As a key member of our nursing staff, you will play a vital role in coordinating and implementing patient care plans, ensuring the highest level of care for our patients recovering from surgery.

RequirementsTo be successful in this role, you must have a diploma or degree in nursing from a reputable college or university, be licensed in the State of Tennessee, and possess relevant certifications. You should also have strong communication skills, the ability to work effectively under pressure, and be flexible in applying basic nursing knowledge to various settings.

Work EnvironmentYou will work in a state-of-the-art facility with modern equipment and technology, including network computers, omnicell medication systems, telemetry, pneumatic tube systems, and AT&T language line. Our hospital has 203 beds, over 40 providers at our medical group locations, and offers comprehensive in-patient and out-patient services. We have more than 825 providers representing over 70 medical specialties and sub-specialties.
Performance Standards- Perform comprehensive assessments on all patients within the appropriate time of admission.
- Plan patient care on an individual basis, identifying problems/needs, nursing diagnosis, standards of care/practice, interventions consistent with identified problems, and attainable outcomes.
- Plan for patient teaching, discharge, and post-discharge needs as appropriate for the patient population.
- Function independently with treatments, procedures, and equipment appropriate to areas, evidenced by adherence to policy, procedure, and competency-based assessment and no pattern or trend of problems.
- Handle/transports/stores/prepares/administers medications/solutions safely and in accordance with hospital and departmental policies and procedures.
- Document accurately and timely.
- Reassess patient's condition, evaluate patient response, and modify plan of care accordingly and in a timely manner.
- Accept charge responsibilities and assign staff with consideration of patient condition and care requirement, acuity, and complexity of patient's condition. Facilitate staff development.
- Maintain healing and therapeutic environment for the patient and family.
- Maintain position-specific qualifications.
- Demonstrate responsibility for assigned communications and special assignments.
- Maintain their work areas and personal appearance in a way that reflects our professionalism and demonstrates to our patients, visitors, and coworkers the importance we place on cleanliness, orderliness, and safety.
