Travel Nurse Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Travel Nurse to join our team at New Season Treatment Centers. As a Travel Nurse, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care and support to individuals struggling with opioid use disorder.
Key Responsibilities- Administer medication pursuant to physician order and record dosage administered in the medical record.
- Conduct daily medication inventory and maintain absolute accuracy in accounting for medication supplied or administered.
- Assume responsibility for safeguarding medication inventory and ensuring proper disposal of medical waste.
- Collect fees and perform daily cash reconciliation in the absence of a cashier position.
- Receive and verify incoming medication shipments and advise staff of any discrepancies.
- Observe patient demeanor prior to dosing and seek guidance from the Medical Director or Registered Nurse when necessary.
- Promptly communicate patient issues or concerns to the Medical Director or Registered Nurse.
- Administer lab tests as required, including patient vital signs and TB tests, and collect data for review by the Medical Director or RN.
- Schedule and screen patients for medical director appointments and assist in collecting data for the history and physical.
- Maintain absolute control and confidentiality of patient medical paperwork and comply with federal and state privacy rules.
- Minimum of 1 year direct patient contact experience in a clinical environment.
- Required nursing licensure within the state in which work is being done.
- Understanding of opiate addiction and medical terminology.
- General nursing knowledge and techniques, basic mathematics skills, and computer literacy.
The Travel Nurse will work in a fast-paced clinical environment with moderate everyday noise. Ability to travel up to 75% with limited notice, including overnight and multiple days.
