ChanceLight Behavioral Health, Therapy, & Education is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Physical Education Teacher to join our team. As a Physical Education Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a dynamic and engaging learning environment that fosters physical fitness, social-emotional growth, and academic achievement in students with diverse needs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive physical education programs that meet the needs of students with varying abilities and learning styles.
- Design and deliver lesson plans that promote physical fitness, health education, and social-emotional learning.
- Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) that meet the unique needs of each student.
- Provide individualized and small group instruction to accommodate the needs of each student.
- Evaluate student progress and adjust instruction to meet the needs of each student.
- Communicate effectively with parents, teachers, and other stakeholders to ensure a collaborative and supportive learning environment.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in physical education and special education.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in physical education or a related field.
- State teaching license and/or certification in physical education.
- Experience working with students with diverse needs and abilities.
- Knowledge of state and national content standards for physical education.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
