Responsibilities:

  • Provide excellent customer service to bank customers
  • Handle deposits, withdrawals, cashier checks, and credit card advances
  • Maintain customer savings passbooks
  • Balance and maintain cash drawer
  • Perform opening and closing procedures as assigned
  • Closing checking and savings accounts as necessary
  • Transfer funds
  • Process night deposits
  • Answer telephone in a courteous manner
  • Accept loan/mortgage payments
  • Stock and order desk/teller supplies as needed
  • Scan and balance daily teller work
  • Release of instant issue debit cards to customers
  • Process savings bonds being cashed in
  • Fill out CTRs as required
  • Fill and balance ATM Machine
  • Process teller transactions to/from vault and balance
  • Order/Sell vault cash to main bank and verify
  • Perform end-of-day recap
  • Perform any other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • High school degree or GED equivalent
  • 12-18 months of related cash-handling experience preferred
  • Possess knowledge of office equipment, including computers and banking software
  • Excellent communication and mathematical skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
  • Mental awareness, alertness, and adaptability to office work routines

Working Conditions:

This is an indoor position with moderate noise levels. The employee may occasionally lift up to 25 pounds and frequently lift up to 10 pounds.

Salary: $45,000 - $60,000 per year, depending on experience
