We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant to join our in-house team at Creative Solutions in Healthcare. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated professional to make a positive impact on the lives of our residents.

About the Role

As a Physical Therapy Assistant, you will play a vital role in administering medically prescribed physical therapy treatments to relieve pain, improve or restore function, and promote healing. You will work closely with our Physical Therapist to implement and modify patient plans of treatment, monitoring progress and making adjustments as necessary.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Administering physical therapy treatments under the supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist;
  • Providing skilled physical therapy services/interventions in accordance with physician orders;
  • Responding to requests for service by relaying information and referrals to Physical Therapist;
  • Implementing and modifying patient's physical therapy plan of treatment with PT supervision;
  • Measuring and recording patient's motor function, strength, and muscle performance;
  • Monitoring patient response to treatment intervention and modifying treatment approach and directive as clinically appropriate with IDT collaboration;
  • Providing clinical support and education to patients, family members, and caregivers;
  • Ensuring documentation is completed thoroughly and timely and complies with all company and state/federal regulatory requirements;
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • An active/valid Texas license as Physical Therapy Assistant;
  • In good standing with all regulatory agencies and licensing boards;
  • A current knowledge of treatment practices;
  • The ability to manage patients with different types of personalities;
