Welding Production Team Member

Job Summary

Spacesaver is seeking a skilled Welder to join our 2nd Shift team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for welding preparation, metal finishing operations, and ensuring high-quality products are manufactured to customer specifications.

Responsibilities
  • Perform welding preparation tasks, including MIG welding and robotic welding, with a focus on efficiency and quality.
  • Conduct metal finishing operations to manufacture products that meet customer drawings, specifications, or other forms of instruction.
Schedule
  • Work a 4-day schedule, Monday through Thursday, with 10-hour shifts from 2pm to 12am.
  • Be available for mandatory overtime on Fridays.
  • Participate in mandatory overtime every other Saturday as needed.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
  • Stand for a minimum of 8 hours on a cement production floor, with frequent use of arms to reach and hands to handle or feel.
  • Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds repetitively.
  • Communicate effectively with team members, with frequent talking and hearing required.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment with seasonal temperature/humidity changes.
Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred but not required.
  • 3-5 years of experience or a technical degree and 1 year of experience in welding or a related field.
  • Basic PLC/CNC knowledge is a plus.
  • Ability to read tape measures and operate measuring devices efficiently.
  • Proven ability to work effectively independently and in a team environment.
  • Basic ability to read, write, speak, and understand English for safety purposes.
