Key Responsibilities:

The specific duties will vary based on the machinery assigned, which will be discussed during the interview process, tailored to each candidate's skills and experience.

  • Oversee all aspects of machine operation, including setup, running, quality control, and cleanup.
  • Conduct visual inspections of tools and components prior to installation.
  • Identify and resolve production and quality issues, implementing corrective measures as needed.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including first, second, or potentially third shifts.
  • Perform basic preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations among all machine operators.
Required Skills and Abilities:
  • Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyze new information for effective decision-making.
  • Critical thinking capabilities to evaluate alternative solutions and approaches.
  • Proficient in selecting appropriate training methods for learning and teaching.
  • Mathematical skills, including knowledge of industrial math and measurement conversions.
  • Basic computer skills, including familiarity with database and operating systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret CAD drawings accurately.
  • Experience in routine equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of quality control processes and techniques.
  • Effective time management skills.
Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Prior experience in the corrugated packaging industry is highly preferred.
  • Experience with specific machinery types is a plus.
Knowledge Requirements:
  • Understanding of various corrugated box types and production processes.
  • Familiarity with quality control standards.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English.
