We are seeking a skilled Traffic Control Specialist to join our team at Centuri Group, Inc. As a Traffic Control Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient movement of traffic at our work sites.
Key Responsibilities- Place, remove, and repair temporary and permanent traffic control devices
- Coordinate traffic control flaggers to ensure safe and efficient traffic flow
- Drive various vehicles, including company-provided vehicles and personal vehicles
- Load and unload equipment and materials
- Move construction equipment and perform vehicle checks to ensure compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations
- Perform other duties as requested by leadership
- High School diploma or equivalent
- At least 1 year of traffic control experience
- Knowledge of DOT regulations pertaining to commercial vehicles
- Ability to comprehend specific directions to ensure safe and OSHA-compliant practices
- Valid U.S. Driver's License in good standing

Work sites are outdoors in potentially extreme weather conditions. All worksite safety instructions are written and spoken in English; must be fluent in English. Work includes prolonged and repeated lifting (including overhead, up to 50lbs), standing, climbing, kneeling, reaching, and feeling. Work is performed within the red zone of heavy equipment. Working safely requires quick and accurate hand-eye coordination and the ability to work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner.
Legal Requirements- Pass pre-employment drug screen and background check
- Provide valid U.S. work authorization documents for E-Verify
- Valid driver's license with no more than 3 moving violations and no DUIs within a two-year rolling period
- Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test; hold/obtain DOT medical card
- Work with a heightened awareness within the red zone of heavy equipment
- Flexibility to work varying schedules and stay late when necessary
