Quality Assurance Manager for Aerospace Electronics

Location: Onsite - Camarillo, California

Compensation: $110,000 - $170,000 + Stock Options / Start-Up Environment

Eligibility: US Citizens Only

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven experience with AS9100 and AS9115 documentation processes in hardware.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related discipline from an accredited institution.
  • Deep understanding of AS9100 standards and requirements.
  • Capability to create operational systems and procedures relevant to high-tech electronics research and development as well as manufacturing.
  • Background in electronics quality assurance testing, particularly for military and aerospace applications.
  • Strong written communication and documentation skills.
  • Familiarity with the electronics hardware and software engineering design processes.
  • Experience with electronics manufacturing operations and procedures.
  • Audit experience is beneficial but not mandatory; the ability to design and implement tailored systems and documentation is essential.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate effectively across departments to enhance the Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring product reliability, consistency, and traceability.
  • Drive continual improvement initiatives to identify and resolve root causes of issues that may arise.
  • Ensure that developed systems and procedures are computerized and that records are organized for easy access and utility.
  • Deliver quarterly quality status reports and scorecards to management, utilizing quantitative analysis to identify and mitigate production issues, including product returns, scrap rates, labor costs, and trends over time.
  • Report on QMS performance and highlight opportunities for improvement to senior management.
