About the Fellowship
Rush University Medical Center, a renowned academic and clinical institution, invites applications for a full-time, 2-year Postdoctoral Fellowship in Rehabilitation Psychology. This esteemed program is designed to provide advanced training in rehabilitation psychology, aligning with the Baltimore Conference Training Guidelines.
Program Highlights
- Eligibility for board certification from the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABPP) in Rehabilitation Psychology
- Full membership in the Council for Rehabilitation Psychology Postdoctoral Training Programs
- 4, 6-month rotations, allowing fellows to choose from a variety of major and minor rotations, including inpatient rehabilitation, ICU and Acute Consultation-Liaison Psychology, Advanced Heart Therapies, Outpatient Rehabilitation Psychology, Tinnitus, Research, and Administration
Training Experience
- Weekly didactics and journal clubs
- Access to hospital-wide grand rounds, including PM&R rounds, RUMC rounds, Ethics rounds, and more
- Optional research component with up to 20% research time during the 6-month rotation
Professional Development
- Opportunities to engage in clinical professional development activities, such as carrying a service line pager, assigning patients to census, or participating in practice management activities to prepare for independent practice and leadership in a hospital setting
