Phlebotomist Role

Location: Remote

Job Type: Part Time

Key Responsibilities

The Phlebotomist will be responsible for:

  • Confirming patient identity through two (2) identifiers, in accordance with established protocols.
  • Ensuring discrepancies in patient identification are resolved prior to specimen collection.
  • Executing venipuncture in compliance with laboratory standards.
  • Collecting and labeling specimens accurately.
  • Reviewing clinician orders in the system as per laboratory guidelines.
  • Conducting both waived and non-waived testing as required.
  • Processing specimens for testing or shipping to external laboratories.
  • Engaging with patients and staff in a compassionate and professional manner.
  • Fostering a collaborative and positive work environment.
Qualifications

To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:

  • A minimum of 1 year of experience in a clinical or hospital environment.
  • A valid California Certified Phlebotomy Technician Certification.
