Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) to join our team at Children's Hospital & Research Center Oakland. As a CRNA, you will be responsible for providing high-quality anesthesia care to patients undergoing surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain clinical competency and adhere to established standards of care.
  • Participate in continuing medical education and maintain certification in ACLS, CPR, and PALS.
  • Document compliance with CEU requirements for re-licensure and participate in quality improvement activities.
  • Collaborate with the medical staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Engage in active participation in Hospital and Medical Staff Quality Built-In (QBI) activities and adhere to peri-operative safety protocols.
  • Comply with hospital policies, procedures, and bylaws, as well as Medical Staff and Advance Practice Providers regulations.
  • Adhere to CRNA clinical standards and guidelines established by the UCSF Office of Advanced Practice Providers.
  • Participate in patient satisfaction surveys and develop plans to sustain or improve patient satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Graduation from an approved program accredited by the Council of Accreditation of Nurse Anesthesia Education Programs.
  • Master's degree in Nursing completion from a Nurse Anesthetist program.
  • Current California license as a Registered Nurse.
  • Active CA Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist license.
  • Certification by the Counsel of Certification of Nurse Anesthetists.
  • Active American Heart Association CPR certification for healthcare providers.
  • Active American Heart Association ACLS certification.
  • Active American Heart Association PALS certification.
