About the Role

This role involves overseeing day-to-day maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will lead, train, and develop electrical and mechanical technicians to ensure maximum equipment uptime and productivity within budget. Responsibilities include capital projects, contractors, preventative maintenance, and repair for equipment and facility.

The selected individual will be accountable for implementing safety education and processes, educating contractors, and ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety requirements. They must investigate equipment failures and resolve system malfunctions efficiently.

This position requires planning and scheduling preventative maintenance, major maintenance, and capital projects. Delivering projects on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards is crucial. Developing support documentation, maintaining equipment to OEM standards, and establishing maintenance and safety procedures are essential tasks.

The successful candidate will drive machine reliability through disciplined application of work order and preventative maintenance systems. They will also manage parts inventories and purchasing activities to meet budget and ensure effective and timely repairs.

Requirements

Key qualifications for this role include a strong safety, mechanical, and electrical background. Previous experience in corrugated, paper, or similar manufacturing environments is necessary. At least 5 years in a maintenance or technical management position is required. Capital project execution experience, familiarity with implementing preventative maintenance systems, and ability to use IT systems are essential.

Candidates must possess excellent leadership capabilities, interpersonal, and verbal communication skills. A creative troubleshooter with a strong sense of urgency, highly accountable for results, and proven problem-solving abilities are desired traits.
