Compensation

We offer a competitive salary for this position, estimated at around $120,000 annually, taking into account the location in Salem, MA, and the requirements of the role.

Key Responsibilities

The STAT Registered Nurse will be responsible for coordinating, integrating, and evaluating adult patient care consistent with policies, procedures, and standards of care at NSMC. This highly specialized RN will provide support and direct patient care to various inpatient units, functioning across units during peak periods of activity. The STAT Registered Nurse will have the authority to make decisions and be held accountable for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the plan.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • BLS and ACLS certification is required at the time of hire.
  • Intense attention and concentration are essential, along with good visual and hearing skills, analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • You must be able to effectively interact with a multidisciplinary team with diverse cultural backgrounds in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written) are required to lead and teach.
  • You should be able to interact effectively with others in difficult situations and coordinate team activities.
  • Exceptional critical thinking skills and the ability to concentrate in intense situations are necessary.
  • Two years of critical care experience or emergency room experience in an academic medical center are preferred.
  • A Current RN License in the State of Massachusetts, BLS, ACLS are required.
Preferred Qualifications

Pursuing a BSN or MSN can be beneficial, as well as obtaining CCRN or NIHSS certifications within six months of employment.

Work Environment

This full-time position offers 36 standard hours per week, rotating shifts, including three 12-hour shifts from 7 p.m. to 7:30 a.m., every other weekend.
