Key Responsibilities
  • Facilities Maintenance: Perform a variety of duties related to maintaining the appearance and condition of our facilities and equipment, including carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Customer Service: Respond to all work orders in a timely and efficient manner, complete all necessary documentation, and provide excellent customer service to staff and residents.

Loretto Health and Rehab & Housing Specific Job Duties
  • Quality Work: Perform quality work in fields such as carpentry, plumbing, HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems.
  • Water Management: Assist in the water management program.
  • Appearance Maintenance: Maintain the appearance of walls and floors, repair loose wall covering and/or baseboards, change ceiling tiles, and replace loose or broken flooring.
  • Service Calls: Respond promptly to service calls for clogged drains, leaks in air, water, steam, or gas lines, replacement of lightbulbs or lighting fixtures, repair of wheelchairs, carts, and broken or damaged furniture.
  • Safety: Remain alert to detect and observe or take immediate action to safeguard irregular conditions such as unusual pressures or temperatures, overheated equipment, leaking equipment or pipes, fumes, smoke, fire, etc.
  • Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Ensure tools, equipment, and supplies are secured and stored, and that all chemicals are labeled and stored properly.
  • Outside Service Representatives: Assist or work closely with outside service representatives on major installations, repairs, service calls, and site visits.
  • Fire Drills: Assist in completing scheduled fire drills as assigned.
  • Electronic Work Order System: Use the electronic work order system for processing and closing out requests promptly.
  • Documentation: Complete documentation as required, maintain checklists, records, logs, etc.
  • Company Vehicles: May drive company vehicles as needed.
