About Boeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA)

Boeing is currently seeking Associate or Experienced Aircraft Assembly Structures Mechanics (Level B or C) to support various segments of our production system while engaging in multiple aircraft programs throughout your career.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete the New Hire Training Cycle Flow to secure and maintain necessary certifications.
  • Utilize computers effectively in a manufacturing setting.
  • Set up and validate jigs and tooling configurations.
  • Conduct precise drilling and installations in critical aircraft structural areas.
  • Employ calibrated precision measuring instruments.
  • Utilize various fastener removal tools and techniques.
  • Work with CFRP, aluminum, and titanium materials, including drilling, sanding, and trimming.
  • Interpret technical work instructions, drawings, and specifications.
  • Familiarity with software applications such as Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Windows, and SAP.
  • Wear appropriate protective gear as dictated by the task.
  • Operate various mechanical lifts (e.g., ladders, scissor lifts, and bucket lifts).
  • Use a range of structural assembly hand tools and pneumatic tools.
  • Inspect work quality and check for Foreign Object Debris (FOD).
  • Perform physical tasks such as climbing, crawling, and balancing.
  • Work safely around energized sources and manage exposure to noise.
  • Read from computer screens and printed materials.
  • Adhere to high standards of safety and compliance regulations.
  • Lift and carry weights ranging from 10 to 35 pounds.
  • Engage in various physical activities including bending, reaching, and standing.

Work Environment:

This position requires 100% onsite presence. Selected candidates will be expected to work at designated locations.

Export Control Compliance:

To comply with export control regulations, candidates must be classified as a "U.S. Person" as defined by applicable laws.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Ability to work on a variable shift schedule.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a technical or mechanical role using basic hand tools.
  • Experience with software applications for internet navigation and Microsoft Suite.
  • At least 1 year of experience with composite materials.
  • Experience with aircraft structural parts fabrication and assembly processes.
  • Ability to follow detailed work instructions and interpret blueprints in English.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 3 or more years of relevant work experience or a combination of education and experience.
  • Capability to work in confined spaces and with hazardous materials.
  • Experience with structural repair operations for various Boeing aircraft models.
  • Background in aerospace manufacturing or fabrication.
  • Completion of a degree or certification from a trade school or A&P license.

Education/Experience:

Associate (Level B): Typically requires a high school diploma or GED and 1 or more years of related experience or equivalent education.

Experienced (Level C): Typically requires a high school diploma or GED and 4 or more years of related experience or equivalent education.
