Job Title: Patient Administrator

We are seeking a dedicated and driven Patient Administrator to join our team at Advanced Physical Therapy - Alaska.

About the Role

As a Patient Administrator, you will be responsible for meeting internal and external client needs by interacting and assisting patients in person, by email, and phone. You will be the main point of contact for our clients and strive to handle all interactions with respect and positivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Schedule patient visits in accordance with patient availability, therapist's plan of care, and insurance requirements.
  • Execute the full cycle of patient services, including handling patient information, processing medical documents, providing information on benefits and insurance data, medical finance information, and correspondence with federal, state, and local statutes.
  • Support and ensure effective communication between caregivers and outside sources, such as referring doctors and legal practices, keeping up with appropriate referral documentation and follow-through.
  • Work alongside the caregiver team, collaborate, and support the staff to accomplish our goal of providing quality healthcare in our community.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or General Education Equivalent
  • Strong Customer Service experience, with medical office experience or training preferred
  • Experience in scheduling, insurance inquiry, and pre-certification, and patient collections to effectively manage patients' needs and questions
  • Knowledge and experience using Microsoft Programs such as Excel, Word, and Outlook
