Job Summary:

Carle Health is seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing routine radiographic procedures to assist physicians in diagnosing and treating patient illness and/or injury.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Position patients and adjust equipment to perform procedures.
  • Determine appropriate radiographic technique based on anatomy and patient condition.
  • Secure patient history and reconcile medication.
  • Assist radiologists with routine fluoroscopic and/or invasive procedures.
  • Operate portable radiographic equipment and C-arm effectively.
  • Initiate emergency medical support as indicated by patient condition.
  • Document allergic reactions and transport patients as necessary.
  • Check film quality and perform quality control activities.
  • Prepare radiographic/fluoroscopic rooms and maintain equipment and supplies.
  • Provide direction and instruction to students.
  • Maintain a safe and clean working environment.
Requirements:
  • Associate's Degree in Radiologic Technology or Certificate in Radiologic Technology.
  • IEMA Radiography License or Temp IEMA upon hire.
  • Radiography (R)(ARRT) within 3 months of hire.
  • BLS within 30 days of hire.
