About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Peachtree Orthopedics. As a Radiologic Technologist, you will be responsible for performing diagnostic imaging examinations on patients, ensuring the maximum clinical information with minimal radiation exposure. You will adhere to the principles of "As Low As Reasonably Achievable" (ALARA) for maintaining image quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prioritize patient service excellence, guiding patients through the imaging process, ensuring their comfort and safety.
  • Maintain a safe and clean department, in strict conformance with OSHA, state, and federal guidelines.
  • Oversee files and images, including burning CDs, importing, or scanning images from outside facilities, and exporting images to outside entities using HIPAA-compliant methods.
  • Handle patient and healthcare provider requests for images and CDs, ensuring proper documentation in patient and departmental records.
  • Keep imaging rooms orderly, schedule equipment maintenance, and ensure smooth operations.
  • Stay up to date with the latest industry advancements and maintain your professional knowledge through continuing education.
  • Be prepared to provide support at satellite clinics when needed, and assist clinical staff when applicable, fostering a collaborative work environment.
Requirements
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent, along with completion of at least a 2-year accredited Radiologic Technologist Program.
  • Bring at least 1-year X-ray experience in a fast-paced Orthopaedic Practice, either as a tech or a student extern.
  • Maintain a current American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration.
  • Hold an American Heart Association's Certification in BLS (Basic Life Support), ensuring readiness to respond to medical emergencies.
  • Provide evidence of Continuing Education Credits, reflecting your dedication to staying informed about the latest advancements in radiologic technology.
