Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Supervisory Audiologist or Supervisory Speech Pathologist to join our team at the Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration. The selected candidate will serve as the Supervisor of the Audiology and Speech Pathology Service, providing clinical and administrative leadership to our team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and manage the Audiology and Speech Pathology Service, ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient service delivery.
  • Provide clinical supervision and instruction to audiology and speech pathology fellows, as well as oversight to all service employees.
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures for the Audiology and Speech Pathology Service, ensuring compliance with national and local performance measures.
  • Manage resources and budget for the service, ensuring responsible allocation of resources and effective use of personnel.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care and effective communication.
  • Participate in administrative and informational meetings, providing input and guidance on service-related matters.
Requirements
  • Master's or Doctoral degree in speech-language pathology, communication disorders, or a related field.
  • Current licensure in a US State, Territory, Commonwealth, or the District of Columbia to practice Audiology or Speech Language Pathology.
  • At least 2 years of experience as a professional audiologist or speech pathologist, with at least 1 year comparable to the next lower grade level.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions, with a focus on quality patient care and efficient service delivery.
