Job Overview

People's Family of Corporations is actively seeking to fill the position of Nutrition Specialist for the WIC Program. This role is essential for those who are dedicated to enhancing community health and well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

As a Nutrition Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include:
1. Coordinating nutrition and breastfeeding services for program participants.
2. Delivering comprehensive breastfeeding education and support.
3. Providing tailored nutrition education and counseling for high-risk individuals, including the development and documentation of personalized care plans.
4. Engaging in research initiatives and participant surveys.
5. Ensuring all necessary contacts and certifications are completed.
6. Offering suggestions for enhancing educational materials utilized within the WIC program.

Qualifications:

To be considered for this position, candidates must meet one of the following educational requirements:
1. A bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in fields such as dietetics, public health nutrition, or related areas, including at least 15 semester hours in food and nutrition.
2. A master's degree in public health nutrition, human nutrition, or dietetics, supplemented by relevant coursework in food and nutrition.
3. Completion of an accredited undergraduate curriculum in nutrition and dietetics, or a dietetic internship program.
4. Registration as a dietitian (RD) or licensed dietitian (LD) in the state of Missouri.
