Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse Supervisor to oversee the nursing staff and ensure the highest level of patient care. The successful candidate will have experience in geriatric nursing and be able to provide quality care to patients, follow doctor orders, and supervise nursing staff.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise nursing staff and ensure that work assignments are completed appropriately and timely.
- Assist Director of Nursing in directing, coordinating, and supervising the Nursing Services Department.
- Supervise nursing services for the facility during shifts in accordance with the Nursing Practice Act, facility policies, and procedures, and local, state, and federal regulations.
- Provide quality nursing care to patients, follow doctor orders, and have a genuine interest in geriatric nursing.
- Attend in-service training and other staff meetings as required.
- Read, know, and follow personnel, department, and facility policies and procedures and adhere to local, state, and federal requirements.
Requirements:
- High school graduate.
- Registered Nurse, graduated from an accredited School of Nursing. Current, valid license from North Carolina Board of Nursing and submit proof of license renewal every other year.
- CPR certified yearly.
- Long Term Care experience preferred.
