We are seeking a dedicated and passionate English teacher to join our team at the Lower Kuskokwim School District in rural Alaska. • Develop and implement engaging lesson plans to promote student academic success and conduct
• Administer various assessments to measure student growth and mastery, and refine instruction accordingly
• Reinforce school-wide rules and expectations, and collaborate closely with fellow teachers and staff
• Differentiate instruction to meet the individual needs of students, and identify those who are academically at risk
• Participate actively in professional development, and communicate frequently with parents
• Build strong relationships with students, staff, and families, and assist the administration in implementing policies and rules
• Maintain accurate and complete records as required by law and district policy
• Attend and participate in Community School Committee and Advisory Committee meetings

• Ability to live and work in a cross-cultural, rural Alaskan environment
• Valid Alaska Teaching Certification or the ability to obtain one
• Bachelor's degree required
