Job Summary:

The CNC Programmer at Sanmina Corporation is responsible for planning and developing numerical control programs to control contour-path machining of metal parts on automatic machine tools. This role requires a strong understanding of machine shop processes, part specifications, and machine capabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Analyze drawings, sketches, and design data to determine dimension and configuration of cuts, selection of cutting tools, and machine speeds and feed rates.
- Program new jobs according to Planning & Engineering procedure.
- Verify programs with tool path verification programs to minimize programming errors.
- Update existing jobs programs to incorporate process improvements.
- Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to develop Part Methods to minimize changes and shorten lead times through production.

Requirements:

- High School or Engineering certificate from a college or trade school preferred.
- 5 years experience in CNC programming using Mastercam and Pro-E/Unigraphics NX may be considered.
- Experience programming turn/mill centers and 5 axis programming is highly desirable.
- In-depth knowledge and understanding of machines and equipment required to fabricate parts from simple to complex.
- Computer skills including CAD/CAM knowledge and experience.
